Christmas Cookie Baking & Decorating
Noah's 2nd Birthday
Noah turned the big 2 on November 21st. These are pictures of him opening his presents from Daddy, Mommy, and Layla. He got Mater (from CARS) and a hot wheels parking garage. The parking garage was more fun later after Daddy and Mommy put together the million pieces and put on all the stickers. UH OH guess we should have read that "some assembly required" statement first!!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We headed off to Oklahoma for the weekend to visit Mark, Linda, Robin, Krista & Tara. Layla and Noah played with their cousins all day.
We went and looked at some really cool Christmas Lights at a local college (sorry no pics of that).
We brought Sammy up so he could play with his new cousin Trapper and they played and played and played and played and played.

Noah got to pose in Mark's race car.
We went to Paris

Texas
Layla thought it was the top of the world

Sammy thought it was pretty good too!
Yes he's peeing on the tower. Sorry Paris TX, he thought he was in France.

Layla turned 3 on November 4th!!

Layla planned her big day out "all by herself" as she tells us. She woke up to her room decorated with Ariel decorations. Then, it was a big birthday breakfast and opening presents. Then, we headed out for the day at one of our favorite places, the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler. We had dinner that evening at her favorite restaurant, CHICK-FIL-A. It was a great day.

The Great State of Texas

Today we took the kids to our state capitol. For them the coolest part was standing in the center and screaming.....WOW does it ECHO!!! Layla did stand in the very center and look up at the star. Today's visit to the state capitol was symobolic for our family I believe after all we have been through legally to become a family. We promise to continue as a family to be a voice for children and other families in our legal system as God calls us to!
Austin Zoo

We visited the Austin Zoo on Monday. It is a small non-profit zoo that takes in rescue animals only. You can read more about their rescue efforts at www.austinzoo.org
Noah made good friends with a goat and Layla loved the peacock. When we were leaving Layla told us we should get a chicken, a goat, a snake, and a tiger for our house.
