The Great State of Texas

Today we took the kids to our state capitol. For them the coolest part was standing in the center and screaming.....WOW does it ECHO!!! Layla did stand in the very center and look up at the star. Today's visit to the state capitol was symobolic for our family I believe after all we have been through legally to become a family. We promise to continue as a family to be a voice for children and other families in our legal system as God calls us to!

Austin Zoo

We visited the Austin Zoo on Monday. It is a small non-profit zoo that takes in rescue animals only. You can read more about their rescue efforts at www.austinzoo.org
Noah made good friends with a goat and Layla loved the peacock. When we were leaving Layla told us we should get a chicken, a goat, a snake, and a tiger for our house.

Round Rock

We arrived at Terry & Sharron's on Sunday afternoon. We have been having a great time playing and visitng. The first night Terry turned the backyard into a waterpark for us! YEA, that was fun! Their backyard has a great swingset that has been so much fun for us to play on too.

Swimsuit Models :) ........

Luke and Layla had fun splashing around, these two are not camera shy! :) That is Noah going down the slide and making a splash in the pool. He was happy to finally get a turn in the pool. The "models" were called to another location!

Painting & Pool Day

While we were in San Antonio we decided to get out the paints and splash in the pool! What fun we had. Luke, Layla, & Noah painted their hand prints on pillow cases and then decorated them as they wanted. We hung a sheet on the fence and they painted that as well. It was so much fun as you can see!

Build- A -Bear

Thursday afternoon we decided to go Build A Bear together. This was the first time for Layla, Luke, and Noah to build a bear. Needless to say it was quite an adventure. Layla built a pink & white bear named "Star". Noah "built" (with lots of help from Mommy and the nice lady who works at the store) a black bear named "Big Boy". Layla very proudly named Noah's bear for him. Luke built a scruffy dog that he named "Dooey". (Cassidy is not real sure of the spelling or the name) Let's just say we had fun and we definitely made some memories! :)

The Hahn Tour of Texas!

That's right our Hahn family vacation has begun and we are in San Antonio right now having a great time. We arrived on Wednesday and have been enjoying our time with Aunt Cassidy (Tia), Uncle Mike, & Luke. Enjoy the pictues of our San Antonio adventures..... We love you!

What Are They Doing Now? :)

I wanted to post this picture of my guys on the beach because it is a like father like son moment. What are they up too? "I don't know!?" They are too cute!

Adoption in Court

Here is the video (reduced quality) of the court room adoption. Thank you Kelly Rathbun for recording.

Friday Night PARTY....

What a great night we had getting together with family and friends to celebrate this blessed day in our lives. We know many of you could not be there though and trust us you were truly missed! So, we thought we would bring the party to you....

There was a bounce house, stump water, and a cupcake bar that seemed to stretch for miles (and it took days to bring the kids back down :) ) Lot's of smiles, some tears, lots of hugs, and all praises to our God!

Adoption Day

Layla Hahn sharing a kiss with Mommy after court.

Noah really put on a show for all of us in court that day. The one who is normally the quiet one found his "voice" in the courtroom!

Our day in court

This is a picture from the Brazoria County Courthouse right after the Hahn's were made an official family by the State of Texas!! Look at the smiles on those faces.

Beach Party Fun!

During our Adoption weekend celebration we had the chance to hang ten out at Surfside beach. It was a whole lot of fun in the sun!! Layla really likes taking a wild ride on the boogie board while Noah splashes in the waves.

Welcome

Welcome to the Hahn Family Blog. We are starting this as we are now a complete family adopting Layla & Noah on June 27, 2008. Check back often and we will hopefully keep our family and friends up to date on our goings on.
